BOLIVIA

Bolivia, ubicada en el centro de Sudamérica, ofrece una gran diversidad natural: montañas andinas, selva amazónica, valles templados y el famoso Salar de Uyuni. Las ciudades más visitadas son La Paz, Sucre, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba y Copacabana, a orillas del Lago Titicaca. El clima varía por altitud, y la mejor época para viajar es de Abril a Noviembre (temporada seca). Se necesita pasaporte, y algunos países requieren visa; también se recomienda la vacuna contra la fiebre amarilla para zonas tropicales.

La moneda es el boliviano (BOB); se acepta tarjeta en ciudades, pero conviene llevar efectivo fuera de ellas. El transporte principal son buses y vuelos internos. Se recomienda precaución con el mal de altura y beber solo agua embotellada. La comida típica incluye salteñas y silpancho. El idioma oficial es el español, e idiomas en uso; Quechua, Aymara y el inglés es limitado fuera de áreas turísticas.
